Post-storm mud-drenched Chiro Village, eastern Ethiopia, January 2009. Background: Villagers begin to rally, in emergency fashion, to push the mini-van in which I was riding, along with my two field guides from Mercy Corps, after the vehicle became 100% stuck in the mud.
